Privacy Policy

RookCast ("we", "us") provides AI-assisted YouTube channel automation. This document describes what data we collect, why, and how it's stored.

What we collect

• Account info via Clerk: email, name, optional profile photo, password hash (handled by Clerk, never seen by us).
• Channel content: descriptions, pipeline configurations, and chat conversations you create within the product.
• Usage data: API token counts attributed to your account, used for billing and rate limiting.
• Operational telemetry: error reports (Sentry) and pageview metrics (Vercel Analytics). No third-party advertising trackers.

Where it lives

Account data: Clerk (US infrastructure). Application data: Neon Postgres (US). Pub/sub state: Upstash Redis (US). All connections are TLS.

What we share

Your chat messages are sent to Anthropic for inference. We do not sell or trade personal data with anyone else. Operational vendors (Clerk, Neon, Upstash, Sentry, Vercel, Resend) process data only as required to run the service.

Optional Instagram and Facebook automation

Affiliates and UGC creators can connect an Instagram Business or Creator account or a Facebook Page through Zernio. Authorization is handled by Meta and Zernio; you do not give Rookcast your social account password. Zernio processes connected account details, posts, comments, automation rules, messages, and delivery results to send the replies you enable.

Rookcast stores the Zernio profile identifier associated with your affiliate account and automation creation status. Account details, posts, rules, and delivery history, including commenter names and comment text, are fetched from Zernio for your affiliate portal. Rookcast does not copy that delivery history into its database. You can pause or delete automations and disconnect either platform from the portal. Disconnecting pauses active automations before removing the account connection. Zernio and Meta govern their own retention of data already processed.
